North Thanet`s MP, Sir Roger Gale, (Who is the Patron of the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation and an Honorary Member of the British Veterinary Association) has praised the Turner Contemporary for “a stunning exhibition that highlights the real links between animals and mankind”.
Commenting at the opening of the exhibition which runs until September the MP said:
“ I think that this show – because that is what it is – will prove to be one of the most popular ever of The Turner`s events. It combines so many emotions and experiences and it offers something for those of all ages. I defy anyone other than the most insensitive not to come away enriched by an experence that takes man back to the dawn of time when we were painting on the walls of caves I am delighted that “Animals & Us” will be on display right throught the summer season and I congratulate Victoria Pomery and Fiona Parry, the Programme Curator, on assembling a wonderful collection of works . I am also looking forward to the crowd-funded visit, during the summer, of Greenpeace`s Polar Bear.”
