Pavement parking

Further to correspondence from concerned constituents regarding pavement parking, I took the opportunity, last evening (26.3.18), to discuss their concerns (which I share) with the Roads Minister, Jesse Norman.   While there are complexities relating to legislation,  I am pleased to say that the Minister is seized of the need to further regulate and that the Government has the matter in hand.     I have indicated to Jesse that I shall be pleased to lend my support to his endeavours at the appropriate time.

 

This matter is a real issue for those of my constituents who are either blind or partially sighted.

Sir Roger Gale joined Samaritans in Parliament on 18 December to pledge that he would do everything he could  to prevent suicide in 2018.
