Mad Hatters Tea Party

Held in aid of Lupus support, Herne Bay.

“Lupus is a debilitating and painful condition that receives too little recognition and support” says Roger Gale. “Very few people have heard of it and yet worldwide it is seen as more common than leukaemia, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy. In the UK alone there are about 50,000 people with this condition that causes the body`s immune system to go into overdrive and to start to attack itself..  As yet there is no cure and it is essential that the support network is strengthened and that there is greater public awareness and understanding of those that suffer from Lupus. This oddball tea party has helped to achieve that locally”.
